Rock Hard Festival Greece is proud to announce the participation of INNERWISH in its inaugural edition! One of the most important and respected bands in Greek metal is making a powerful return, ready to prove once again why they hold a special place in the European melodic metal scene. Their performance comes just months after the release of “Ashes of Eternal Flame”, an album that marked their triumphant comeback after eight years of studio silence.
INNERWISH’s story began in the heart of Athens in 1995. From their debut album “Waiting For The Dawn” (1998) to their latest masterpiece “Ashes Of Eternal Flame” (2024), the band has evolved into a true pillar of Greek heavy metal. With five studio albums under their belt and a collaboration with Reflection on the split CD “Realms Of The Night” (2001), INNERWISH spread their wings and established themselves on the global metal map.
In 2004, they released “Silent Faces” through the renowned German label Limb Music, followed by “Inner Strength” (2006), albums that received an enthusiastic response across Europe and Japan. Sharing the stage with giants like JUDAS PRIEST, HELLOWEEN, U.D.O., and THERION, INNERWISH proved that their music is synonymous with power, melody, and relentless energy.
In 2010, with the release of “No Turning Back” via Ulterium Records, the band reached new heights. However, the departure of two members posed challenges. Nevertheless, with the arrival of George Eikosipentakis on vocals and Fragiskos Samoilis on drums, INNERWISH returned stronger than ever in 2016 with “InnerWish” an album that propelled them to the next level.
At the end of last year, “Ashes of Eternal Flame” shook the melodic power metal scene to its core. Released via Reigning Phoenix Music, the album features a surprising collaboration with the legendary Hansi Kürsch, vocalist of BLIND GUARDIAN, on the song “Sea of Lies.”
On September 12-13, 2025, INNERWISH will take the stage at Rock Hard Festival Greece, held at Technopolis City of Athens, delivering their first performance in the Greek capital since 2017—making this show even more unique and unmissable!
